Outlet covers (like the kind you use when you have kids...)

This question was originally posted by jason on APC forums on 3/5/2007

I'm curious if it is alright to use those little outlet covers, you know those ones you plug into your outlets at home when you have little kids so they don't put their fingers in the outlet, on a Switched Rack PDU power distribution strip?

I'm looking for a way to stop people from plugging into power strips that are deemed full ? Also does anybody else do something like this and if so where did you get them from?

Thanks

Hi,

Agitan, the company I work for, makes what you're looking for -- assuming that you have PDUs with IEC C13 and/or C19 receptacles.

Unlike what's available at Walmart, our products can not be removed by hand, require a special Removal Tool, and are a high-visibility red color.

You can request a free Sample Kit from our web site, where you can also place an order or request a quote.
