New SMT1500R2 drops immediatly to 50% when power is cut and runtime is much lower that reported

Hi

I have a new smt1500r2 ups and when triggering it to run on battery for the first time the battery level instantly drops to 50% and over the next five minutes increases to a high of 53% before dropping again and continues to drop, the run time with 130w load was 35 minutes.  This is much lower than advertised so does this look like I have a dead battery ?

When I ran a calibration after 24 hours charge I also noticed that it dropped from almost 2 hours to 1:30

Hi,

If the unit is new you should contact local support. They will need to exact model and serial number of the UPS and if the battery is found to be defective a replacement battery will be provided.
