NMC AP9538 v6.8.2 - boot loop every 10 seconds

Dear community,

 

I have a PDU model AP8661 with the following NMC AP9538 on firmware v6.8.2, it worked well for years until recently I have no more access, the network interface disconnecting every 10 seconds and CLI using serial console constantly freezing after 10 seconds, I just have the time to entering login/password then nothing happens and need to wait like 10 seconds to have the credential prompting again. but never have the change to go further.

I tried to physically factory reset but no success.

What I'm suppose to do now, NMC can be changed separately from the unit ?

Some things to consider and provide feedback. What is the current status of the PDU Network LEDS? Ping the device with a continuous ping. What are the responses times and results? How is the device configured to have a IP address fixed / reserved by DHCP?

 

Have you used different web browsers and what are the results? Have you tried to login to the website using HTTP VS HTTPS? Has SSL / TLS been defined correctly and in the web browser(s)?

 

Have you contacted APC Support to obtain the SSH command to reset the PDU to a default state and done so? 

Have you connected to the PDU directly with a laptop to eliminate the connectivity issues are network related to the infrastructure / firewall?
