Multi Site datacenter Powerchute Management (UPS configuration different on each site)
Hello, I'm new to this forum and need help urgently with the following scenario: - customer has two datacenters (VMware vSphere 8 based, with synchronous data replication/mirroring) (each DC could support all services if one site fails) - the UPS configuration is different on each site => the first site has two 10k (with extension) Smart UPS (single phase input) models and all systems are dual redundant connected to the UPS systems - the second site has just one 10k (with extension) Smart UPS model (same as above) and all systems are just connected with one power supply to the UPS, the other power supply is connected to a PDU with no UPS backing I think the customer needs at least two PCNS (OVA) instances to accommodate each UPS scenario/site, as mixed scenarios are not support with PCNS. Also I need help with setting up PCNS (need to split the already activated licenses at first) to work properly in such a multisite environment with VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus features enabled (such as DRS, that allows automatic vMotion of VMs between hosts and sites). It might be difficult to set up such a solution because in a power outage scenario for the whole region, the two PCNS instances should not interfere with each other regarding movement of VMs to the other site that might still have longer runtime than the other one ...
Could you please direct this question/scenario to a L3 support engineer to discuss this matter?
