I have an AP7894 Metered PDU that has been installed and powered since Nov2009. The UP Time field displayed on the main screen of the control console menu reports that the PDU has been up for only 60 days. I expect the counter is rolloing over at some point...can anyone explain this, is there any way for me to determine the actual Up Time for a PDU that has been running for several years?

I just got this same question from Brian this morning as part of your account team from the email you sent so you'll probably get an answer there too.
The uptime you see for any management card enabled device is for the network management interface only. This applies to a UPS, Rack PDU, etc as none of the devices themselves store an uptime for the device as far as I know. So basically, you are only seeing the uptime of the management interface and for a Rack PDU, there is no way to tell how long the device's load, outlets, etc have been up.
P.S. I don't think the counter rolls over for at least like 300-400 days at most.

Ok, thank you.
So the fact that the NMC indicates it's been up for more than 60, is it safe to assume that the source power for the AP7894 PDU has not been interuppted for that period of time?

Correct. So basically, the management card can reboot without the PDU rebooting but not vice versa (since this a metered Rack PDU and does not offer outlet control - even so, controlling outlets yourself does not affect management card uptime).

Vg, TY.
Jsut an FYI, the manual is a bit misleading.....
From Console Control section of the on line manual...
Up Time field reports how long the Rack PDU has been running since it was last turned on or reset
Thanks again, and good day
