Is there a way to cycle power every 10 minutes continuously?

Hi,
I'm doing a validation test and need to cycle power to a device every 10 minutes. Eventually there would be three sockets as part of a power group cycling at the same time.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Sonny

on your PDU, if its newer, check the Administration Tab->General->About.

If its older, you'll have a Help->About System menu.

you can probably use the scheduling option too but you may run out of the amount of configurable events - i think it only allows (16) in the list if I am not mistaken. the CLI cannot be run right on the PDU - it needs to be run via something that can connect to the PDU via telnet, SSH, or local terminal console.

i have never really done scripting so i personally dont have any examples.

i think that is the best solution for you now, pending the model number on the PDU.

let me know if you have any other questions.

what device do you have or are you looking for a device that will do this? please provide any model numbers.

First thing that came to mind is using a switched rack PDU and writing a script to do that in an automated fashion. APC switched rack PDUs have scripting interfaces that make this easy for you to do.

Does the script run on the PDU or via a server controlling the PDU? Are there any examples? I found the CLI document but that does not mention scripting directly and I didn't find any examples. Also, it was suggested that for scripting I should use expect scripts?
Thanks
