Hi,
We will be using InRow cooling units in our new computer room. We want to receive SMS notification messages whenever there is a problem with the InRow units. How can we set that up?
Thanks and regards,
Charles

You could do this via the NMC GUI in the unit, if it is configured. Customers have gotten this to work by setting up an e-mail address recipient + SMTP server that would allow for e-mail notifications to be forwarded as an SMS message to a phone or mobile device. Typically you would need to set the message format to "Short" for the recipient being used. It is critical that all TCP/IP, DNS and e-mail settings are configured properly for this to work, and keep in mind that it sometimes does not work for customers due to network issues outside APC's control.
