Does anyone know where to purchase wall sockets and the full description of them suitable for connecting C19-C20 cables?
The issue here is I need to pass on accurate descriptions to building contractors in Beijing, Hong Kong & Kuala Lumpur to ensure they terminate a 16Amp circuits into a compatible wall socket near the server rack.
I've searched the web and found no obvious answer.
The other option we have is to downgrade the UPS rating from 3000VA to 1400VA and normal plugs can be used as the small units don't require high amp power supplies.

I found a Hubbell catalog online and scanned thru it:
http://www.hubbellcatalog.com/wiring/catalogpages/section-a.pdf
...and you are quite right that the hooded C19/C20 is not available as a wall mount receptacle/socket. They only show up as panel mounted...
Perhaps because they are classified as "Appliance Couplers" they are only allowed to be used inside power bars and such ?
Your solution migh be to specify a twistlock 20 A wall receptacle and then send to each site a power bar which has a few of the right IEC receptacles.
