First time poster. A few questions. My RS1200 started beeping (4 beeps every 30 seconds), indicating that it was running on batteries even though utility power was on (checked with meter). Yellow indicator light is lit. Batteries were old, so I replaced them. Checked circuit breaker button, and it appears to be "pushed in". It moves about 1/16" when I push on it, but then returns to starting position. Button is basically flush with outside of case. When circuit breaker is tripped, how much should it stick out? Installed new batteries, and get same 4 beeps every 30 seconds and yellow indicator light. Have pushed power button to turn it off, and left it plugged in, in case batteries need charging. Any suggestions on what may be wrong?

After charging batteries for a full 24 hours, same yellow light and 4 beeps every 30 seconds. No loads at all are connected to UPS. When powered on, green light flashes, as expected. The yellow light then comes on, as expected, while Self-Test is performed. Then the green light goes out and beeping/flashing yellow light begins. Other than buying a new UPS, not sure what else I can do. Anybody have any ideas what might be wrong and if it is repairable?

Hi,
Try performing a reset.
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS internal battery.
4: Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to a known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. I tried the reset procedure several times, and no change.

Hi,
I also experienced the similar thing with my BR1000MS...
I plugged in the batteries and plugged in the UPS to their AC outlet before leaving a customer's office. I didn't plug in any load to it at that time. I returned 2 days later to complete the installation of my other equipment and it found it dead, no lights, no LEDs. The employees in that office said it beeped and clicked the whole day before. Now it is dead. I attempted to hold the power button as described above with no luck. Could this one have been bad from the start? Once I initially plugged it in on that first day, I went through the list of status such as load% and Voltage in and out, as I always do upon plugging in a new one. Looked good at that time. No beeps etc. for the whole hour I was there doing other things (before leaving the site). Do I simply return it?
