Firmware Upgrade for APC Metered Rack PDU

Hello All,

Help needed. Thanks in advance.

Hardware:AP8858

Existing Firmware:

APC | Metered Rack PDU

Firmware	Rack PDU	APC OS (AOS)	Boot Monitor
Version:	5.1.6	5.1.9	1.0.2
Date:	Oct 15 2012	Oct 15 2012	Jan 21 2010

I want to upgrade to at least v6.0.9 for the rack PDU.

What will be the requirements? And how do i go about to do it?

I am currently managing my PDUs using StruxureWare v7.2.2.76.

Hello,

v6.0.9 has a potential issue with it so you'll want to update to v6.1.0. If you want to do it within StruxureWare using the firmware catalog, go to StruxureWare and go to the Updates menu->apply firmware updates and verify rpdu2g v6.1.0 with AOS 6.1.3 is available. If v6.0.9 is there, then your StruxureWare firmware catalog needs to be updated and we cannot use that version as outlined here -> http://forums.apc.com/spaces/6/racks-rack-accessories-cooling/forums/general/10440/information-bulle...

For more help with doing things through StruxureWare, I'd go to dcimsupport.apc.com. I believe you may be able to just hit "check updates" on the Apply Firmware Updates page but I am not sure.
