I use Win10 and PowerChute Network Shutdown SW v.4.4. It requires password and passphrase strength.
So, I cannot give apc apc as user and password.
I created an administrator user blabla Eric!123 in My NMC card (firmware ID1013UPS 04.7).
I can log in without problems with http://10.0.3.99:80
But in the CfWizard of PCNS, I get always :
Error registering with the Network Management Card(s).
Security information for http://10.0.3.99:80 is incorrect. Please check that the PowerChute User Name and Authentication Phrase match the Network Management Card.
6 month ago, with PowerChute Network Shutdown SW v.4.3 and Win7, I had no issues.
Is it a firmware issue?
PowerChute Network Shutdown SW v.4.3 was less demanding on password strength, is it the issue?

I have been told that your NMC has firmware 6.4 running. That is old firmware and it should be upgrade to improve security.
As for PowerChute communications. To correct your issue log into the NMC and go to configuration - Shutdown
At the bottom of the page from the user name drop down select apc as the user, and enter admin user phrase for the authentication phrase, and click apply.
Next, log into the PowerChute web page and go to PowerChute Setup.
When asked to enter the user name, password, and authentication phrase enter apc as the user. Enter a strong password and for the authentication phrase enter admin user phrase, and click apply.
PowerChute will use the user name and authentication phrase to communicate to the UPS over port 80.

Question :
- Can we trick the PCNS software recent version to disable the password complexity requirements?
- It is not clear to me if ... and what I shall change in : Configuration > Network > SNMPv3 > Access + User Profiles + Access control

The PCNS password complexity and SNMP has nothing to do with PCNS logging into the NMC. PowerChute and the NMC communicate using the username and authentication phrase configured within PowerChute and the NMC.
That information is found under Configuration, Shutdown, PowerChute Shutdown Parameters. The username, authentication phrase entered on the NMC must match what is entered in PowerChute. If the NMC is running firmware 6.8 or above you must also enable HTTP and or HTTPS.

It works now.
My issue was that I had created an other user than apc, then the passphrase was not assigned to apc, but to the new user.
Thanks for the help.
