UPS was on but PC was off when power failure occurred. Did the UPS record the time and duration of the failure? I'm aware that there's a log kept by software on the PC when the agent is running, but the PC was off so obviously this is not available. I just want to know how long the power was off.

Hello. I have problem with my 3KV UPS for our core switch. Our maintenance switch off the electricity accidentally then after that the UPS totally drained and when we switch on the electricity and the UPS give a noisy sound. I try to switch off and on again but still the sound is their and their is a message that " Internal Failure service required".
Pls help me to solve this problem or what are the possible way i can do aside from calling the company.thank you.

TKW,
The UPS has no flash memory capable of housing such information. It would have to be pulled from the software interface. The only thing that would rectify this would be a Network Management Card, which, regardless of active internet connection / computers attached, keeps a log on the card itself of all UPS related events.

SmartUPS sends "$" symbol through serial port every 2 seconds or so throughout the duration of outage, so it would be up to the program to monitor when the signal started appearing and when it stopped and get the duration based on that.

My SU700NET sends a ! every 30 seconds or so while on battery over the serial interface.
Only when power is restored and UPS goes back on-line does it send a single $.

If the pro 550 and es 550 send out $ during power outage, how do I log that with my computer?
