Dead AP9211?

I recently purchaed a AP9211 off of ebay, and it looks like it is dead, when I plug the unit in, it makes no sound, and the front LEDs do not come on showing that the outlets have power. I have also tried to connect a null modem cable @ 2400, 8,N,1 settings, and I get nothing from it. I also tried using wireshark to sniff it out, and see if I can find the IP address of it when it is first plugged in. However, no such luck, however, wierd thing is that the LAN port shows a LINK light when it is plugged in. Anyone have any idea of anything I could check?

what does the status LED on the network port look like?
