So, I wanted to change the passwords on my InfrastruXure Manager local admin user (apc), the Administrator Account (apc), the FTP Settings account (apc), and also the remote PDU Administrator user (apc).
When I change them, all the devices stop communicating to the InfrastruXure Manager, so I think I am missing a step.
I searched the documentation, and the forums and couldn't find anything really specific to my situation.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I am not seeing those options you mentioned, I am rather new to this environment, so that may be it. But it also may be that we are running an older version of InfraStruXure Manager.
Im running on;
Version: 4.6.1 Build 23
Model Number: AP92200
What I am trying to do is move away from the default PW. Here is what I have done;
- From the manager window, System Management (pull down) - Authentication Settings - Configure Local Users - Click on "apc" user - Click Modify - Enter new password twice - Click "Ok" - Then click Apply once back at the Authentication Settings window.
- Then I go back into System Management (pull down) - Device Access - Administrator Accounts (tab) - Click on "apc" user - Click Modify - Enter new password twice - Click "Ok" - Then click Apply once back at the Device Access window.
- Then I go back into System Management (pull down) - Device Access - FTP Settings - Click on "apc" user - Click Remove - Click Add - Add "apc" user and the new password twice - Click "Ok" - Then click Apply once back at the Device Access window.
All of the above was done from within the InfraStruXure Manager window.
I then moved onto each device;
- Right click on the first "Metered Rack PDU" (model AP7862) - Select Device Details (this brings up the device window) - Click on the Administration tab - Under "Local Users" I am on "administrator" - Change password for "apc" user - click Apply.
I repeated the above for each of the Rack PDUs.
The result is the InfraStruXure Manager no longer talks to them. Looks like an authentication issue. When I right click on one of the Rack PDUs and open Device Details, it prompts me for a User/PW. If I enter the new PW it lets me in just fine. It seems like the Manager is some how holding onto the original PW, or I am missing a step in my process.
Any idea's?
Thank you!

Figured it out.
It was the "HTTP Properties" user info I needed to update.

There are a couple of other settings you might need to look at.
Central communicated with devices over SNMP.
Default community strings are "public" and "private". If these have been changed on the devices, the Central will lose connectivity with the device. Modify this under Device/Device Scan Settings.
If you have changed the login settings on the device, you will receive a login dialog when you launch to the device. To auto login set the Device Launch Settings in Central. Right click the Device/Device Launch Settings.
