I'm checking whether I can connect an AP7921, which has an IEC-320 C20 socket, to the NEMA L6-20R socket on a SURT003 using the AP9871 cable.
My main concern is the outlet on the SURT003 is rated 20A and the cable and rack PDU is rated 16A. Will the PDU only draw what it needs from the socket? I'm just making sure before I do this as I don't want to fry anything.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

The PDU and cable ratings are downrated in accordance with the NEC "80%" rule, which brings a 20a device current rating to 16a. The PDU plugged into the SURT003 will be fine, as the PDU will only pull its own max draw, which won't cause an issue with the SURT003's outlet.
