Battery questions

Hi all

Our company has a new site going in at Angola and i have been asked a strange question which i have never had to think about before. Let me share some of the detail.

Power requirement - 5038VA

Runtime 15 hours!!!

Generator supporting site that will be running 8 hours a day Monday to Friday. At the weeked equipment onsite will be switched off.

I put the above figures into the APC UPS calculator and i receive the following recommendation.

APC Smart-UPS VT rack mounted 30kVA 400V w/4 batt mod. exp. to 5, w/PDU & startup

My main questions are....

How will the batteries be affected by constant discharging and regharging each day?

Will there be enough time in the day (8 Hours) to rechange all of the batteries and bring it back up to full capacity before the generator is switched off?

If somebody can give me a bit of advice please!!!
