Battery calibration will not complete
Using the apctest utility, over a usb -> RJ45 cable, I'm trying to calibrate the newly installed lead acid batteries in my APC Smart UPS 2200VA. The tool launches and I was able to program in the date of the battery change. When I start the calibration process it begins without issue. UPS switches to battery, and the screen indicates the test is in progress. The UPS will eventually switch back to AC power and begin charging. The indication on the console is that the test is still in progress. I left it for several hours, and the test never completed; I had to cancel it. The UPS had fully recharged and the console still indicated the test was in progress. Likewise when I run self-tests, the test starts, but is never able to complete as far as apcupsd is concerned. Just "fails".

Some things to consider as it relates to the APC battery self calibration.
Battery: Must be 100% charged
Load: There must be a minimum of 30% load connected to the UPS. Keeping in mind SLA batteries have a limited 240 - 300 cycle life and have restricted DOD (Depth of Discharge). Meaning doing repeated battery calibrations will shorten the service life of the battery pack. Lastly, the APC battery calibration isn’t very accurate nor it’s displayed operating run time.
