Hello, I've been searching how to communicate to Back Pro 1500 over USB using some development SDKs. The company where I work, has software controlling inspection machines for food industry and we are using a Back Pro 1500 UPS as regulator and backup battery. There are some business rules we want to implement in our software where power monitoring is crucial, but I have not found how to access UPS data. We have the USB - RJ45 cable and PowerChute Personal Edition installed. I've read about UPSLink Language Protocol but I do not have the serial cable or do not know how to use this protocol with the USB cable.
Is there something I can do with my current configuration to access UPS data with my software?
I'm programming in C ++, but I can do it reading output using a console program or if possible accessing data directly from APC UPS Service or APC Data Service.
We are interested in reading power usage (kWh), battery charge, battery remaining time, events (shutdown, peaks, over current, etc).
Thank you,
Regards!

APCUPSd might be able to do what you want.
Otherwise, the USB protocol is specified here: http://www.usb.org/developers/hidpage/pdcv10.pdf
