Alternative to APC rack PDU?
Hi everyone
I am the poor basterd that has to configure every single rack PDU. We use APC and that means Schneider Electric... and when Schneider Electric does computer things, they absolutely not good in my humble opinion...
As do the web servers on these PDUs. They are so underpowered they are barely able to keep a telnet session open. So configuration through a script usually ends in several retries... Why I configure them through telnet in a script you ask? Why, because the documented best practice way via a config file only works for some settings and not for others of course!
So just out of interest... is there a PDU manufacturer out there that actually delivers non garbage for the heaps of cash they ask?
