Hi,
Is it possible to add or change information in e-mail notifications from the UPS? When there is a power failure, I get e-mails like "UPS: The battery power is too low..." I have these setup right so I only get a few when there is an issue and I get notified when the situation resolves, like "UPS: a discharged battery condition no longer exists". My problem is that there is no other info in the notification (like the IP address or name of the UPS). Our school has multiple locations and it would be great to get the IP address of the UPS or its name or e-mails like "DORM_UPS: The battery power is too low..." or "CAMPUS_UPS: a discharged battery ..."). Is it possible to do something like this so I can easily see where the issue is instead of having to get to a computer with a VPN, connect to the school's network, login to a variety of UPS machines looking for the one with the issue?
Thanks,
David.

Hi David,
In short, we do not allow this currently but I will enter it in as an enhancement request with your scenario here which makes total sense to me. The dev team will review this at some point and determine if it is a.) possible and b.) if they can fit it in.
But, I did want to share that some of what you're asking for should be present in these email notifications today..
Assuming you're using notifications in the "long" format which is configurable for each recipient, you should see something similar to the following in the body of your notifications:
Name : SRT1500RMXLA Location : Desk Contact : Angela https://upsname https://x.x.x.x https://[FE80::2C0:B7FF:FEA0:4AA3] (Local) https://[] Serial Number : 5A13XXXXXXXX Device Serial Number : NA Date : 01/08/2018 Time : 15:47:53 Code : 0x014F
Informational - UPS: The graceful shutdown period has ended.
I did some checking and I see this both for both the actual events and then their clearing events. "Short" email format may leave much of this information out so if you're using short format for emails, you may want to try "long."
Could you give me an example of what you see in the body, which I would think would prevent you from having to log on to a PC? Or let me know if I mis-understood.
