apc smart ups 700 is beeping. The red light is lid indicting battery change. MY question is will the ups die even though the replace battery
light is lid? how much time do I have to replace the battery without losing power to all my equipment that is plugged into it?

KVAr is right, you would want to get the battery replaced ASAP. Until this is done, take extra precaution with the attached load on the UPS. Perhaps you can turn the equipment off when not in use. If you have another UPS that you could use in place of this one, that might be a good idea until a new battery can be swapped into the original UPS with the warning light.
Typically, the replace battery indicator will illuminate with approx 2 weeks warning before the battery is completely useless. However, if the UPS is operating at high load, it's very possible that runtime will be exceptionally short resulting in load dropping due to battery exhaustion much earlier than anticipated.

There's no exact answer to this. Get it changed ASAP. It's like driving your car with the brake warning light lit.
