APC UPS SMT3000RM12UC Alarm Event: Code P.06
Dear Schneider Community Support,
I hope this message finds you well.
On one of our vessels the crew are currently experiencing issues with APC UPS SMT3000RM12UC. Despite changing the battery in one of the units, we continue to receive the error “Alarm Event: Code P.06.”
Additionally, another UPS is showing an alert state indicating that the battery needs to be replaced. They already attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
Disconnected the UPS from all power sources, including the battery.
Waited for a few minutes.
Reconnected the battery and powered up the UPS.
Unfortunately, these steps did not resolve the issue.
Could you please provide any further guidance or suggestions to help us address these problems? Else they will get new APC UPS unit as maybe whole unit is faulty.
As to the other unit declaring a battery fault. Power down all critical loads and remove them from the systems output. Connect any resistive load like a light, fan, heater, etc.
While the system is running and powering the new loads. Remove AC Mains from the wall.
What happens?!?
If the system immediately drops the loads and shuts down the battery cartridge needs to be replaced.
