We used the restore disk and all we get is local login prompt. None of the existing documentation have the correct username and password to start configuring. Can someone guide us to the correct documents or post how to access and configure the system?
Thanks in advance

We are running APC InfraStruXure Central Basic version 4.1 and our engineering has misplaced the password. We looked through multiple threads and seems like APC has changed the product multiple times. To name a few:
InfraStruXure Central (ISXC)
StruxureWare Central (SWC)
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE)
DCIM??
None of the technical documents for other names and versions works in our case. Can someone post a recommendation where to look? Or direct us who to contact with APC?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
If the machine has been restored, you should find the service running on http, and should be able to login with apc/apc.
I feel I should warn this version is pretty old, which will impact what support are able to offer. I actually don't know how old 4.1 is, but 5.0 was released summer 2008.

The DCE support number is 1-877-908-2688. But as @Shaun that is a very old version. If you used the restore ISO then the default log in should be either apc/apc or apcsetup/apcsetup (I might be remembering in reverse it could be setupapc/setupapc
That said I do not know how many devices that you are trying to monitor but it might be best if you upgraded to the latest and greatest version then started from scratch. If you do not want to do that then you can work with APC at the number above to get all the firmware versions from your current one to the latest one. You will have to go in order as you can not skip versions. By stepping up though you can keep all your current information intact.

We tried the following with the fresh system restore CD at the login (local:login:) prompt and none of them worked:
apc/apc
setupapc/setupapc
apcsetup/apcsetup
setupapc/setupapc
Additionally we tried to ping the default address which is supposed to be 192.168.1.1. None of these technical references applies. Not sure why APC has made this so challenging?????
We will call the number you posted here and see if we can make any sense out of this. Probably tomorrow. We do not have too many devices, other than monitoring the main systems (total of 2 cabinets), battery pack, and about 10 PDUs and environmental units: AP9430 and AP9431. What is the option of upgrading the software? Also, does anyone recommend any third party monitoring software as we have a very bad taste / experience with APC.

What is the default IP of the restored machine? We tried accessing 192.168.1.1 as described in any available documents. We are getting quite desperate to get this running.

We have been trying to get the correct answers from APC DCIM support but no luck.
