APC Back-UPS ES 650 (BE650BB) LED status indicator, not it manual

Hi,

We have received following query.

Query is as follows:

"I’m seeing an LED indicator that isn’t in the manual.

1) Yesterday - unit went to a solid tone. Turned the UPS OFF, tone silenced, unplugged computer from UPS. I did NOT verify if the LED was flashing.
2) Today - plugged UPS into wall, nothing else plugged into it. Turned UPS ON, no alarm tone. Power LED (green) is flashing.

Looked in user manual:

Flashing LED plus constant tone = replace battery (When the alarm occurred I did NOT verify the LED, I simply turned off the UPS.)

The only other LED flashing status occurs with a beeping tone that indicates low battery.

I have not been able to find anything for the condition of flashing LED and no tone.

This battery is probably due to be replaced, and that may have been the indication yesterday with the constant tone.

But now I’ve plugged it back in, no tone, but the LED is flashing.

Is there something else that could be going on?"
