APC Back UPS 1100

Hi,

I just replaced my old battery in my apc back ups 1100 because it sends out a constant tone and replace battery led is lit.

but then when i replaced it with the new one i bought the result is the on line led and the replace battery led is alternating together with constant tone.

i actually bought 2 new batteries and both of them had the same result, with this i tried to put back the ups's old battery and surprisingly its ok.

im a bit confused but i think the 2 new batteries that i bought is dead.

im hoping you could explain further to me what is the problem. thank you in advance
