Hi All:
I have an APC BE550G at our house up in the mountains, and I'm curious about the PowerChute software functionality. I would like to be notified by either text message to my mobile phone and/or email when AC power has been lost and/or when AC power has been restored. Can this be done with the APC model I have through the PowerChute software?
Sorry for the newbie question!
Thanks
RD

Powerchute personal edition is very basic software and because of that, it doesn't have the option to send emails/txts. Only powerchute business edition or purchasing a network management card(and a UPS that supports that) would work. Since you have a be550g, Powerchute personal edition is your only option. You would need a smart ups or higher to utilize a network management card or powerchute business edition.
