APC 7901/7920 Rackmount brackets

Hi. My company owns an APC 7920 for about two years and now after the purchase of a 42U rack, we would like to rackmount it.

The problem is that the rackmount brackets are nowhere to be found 😞
After contacting APC support, I almost couldn't believe when I was told the rackmounts are not sold separately so they couldn't help (unless I bought a new 7920 I suppose).

Can anyone help? Do you have any rackmount brackets for the 7901/7920 for sale?
Or perhaps do you know any rackmounts compatible or know where I can buy 'universal' ones so I can drill the holes?

We have been looking for this same exact part. I have contacted several resellers and was told that it's discontinued and they can't get it. Is there a new part # or can we get it direct?

Can't buy it direct unfortunately. What's the model on your PDU? Same as the original poster's?

If the unit is in warranty we could RMA the brackets to you. The bracket part # is 870-5267. There are no sellable SKUs that I can see that are guaranteed to work with the PDU to be horizontally mounted. You could check for that part # through one of our distribution partners/resellers.

As I mentioned above, you would need to check through a distributor/reseller for the part. We do have a procedure for sending service parts, but the shipping charge on it would be much, much higher than the actual value of the part. You would need to call into phone tech. support for this option.

What update/response do you want? I still haven't manage to buy a simple pair of rackmounts for this.

Perhaps next time we rearrange our server rooms I'll think twice about APC since we can't even buy a simple pair of rackmounts.

The question is still unanswered and if something is lacking....is customer support.

Hi.

I've tried different resellers, then I've contacted APC in my country. Response was always the same: 'not available for purchase'.

Then I even contacted APC in the US. Response was 'Sorry....you have to contact APC support in your country'.

In small companies they struggle to sell their stuff to you.
In big companies you struggle to get them to sell to you.

Ridiculous.

Very sorry about that, didn't mean to mark this particular thread answered, apparently I got a little trigger happy with my search results and the moderator buttons. What country are you in? This forum almost exclusively supports the United States and Canada, so even if we wanted to assist you by shipping you the parts, we could not do so unless you are in one of those two countries. Unfortunately regional support is the only way to get parts shipped for the region/country in question.
