AP9617 does not acquire IP Address
Hi, I am trying to my UPS using the web interface on a AP9617. The card has a solid green light on the right and a blinking yellow light on the left which, I think, means the card has acquired an IP address from my dhcp server.
However, when I scan my network to find out what is the IP address, it does not show up. I have set my dhcp server to use option 43 to enable cookies with the string 01:04:31:41:50:43. I have also tried resetting the card by pushing the small hole with a pin for 20 seconds and also tried setting a static IP address using my dhcp server based on the MAC address of the card, but nothing seems to work. I cannot ping the card using the static IP address I set.
My guess would be the card has a static IP configured - the reset button on the older NMC1 generation does not format the cards if you hold the button down, it only reboots the management interface. If you want to actually see what the IP is configured as and reset the NMC to DHCP mode, you would need to connect to the card using the appropriate serial cable for whatever UPS model you have (most likely the 940-0024, but would need the UPS model to confirm).
The serial connection settings the AP9617 needs would be: 2400 bps, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control. We have the full instructions for serial configuration of IP settings here: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156064/#Terminal
