AP9617 Firmware issue

Hi,

So i have a AP9225 with an ap9617 management card. I upgraded the firmware on it to 3.7.3 but i put the firmware for a UPS on it. I need to find a way to put the correct firmware back on. I have looked through the forum and downloaded this firmware ftp://ftp.apc.com/apc/public/hardware/webcard/firmware/security/v258b/ but i am unable to get the new firmware on using FTP.

Hello - I'd have to spend sometime reviewing those old release notes but I would likely upgrade, especially if it is like version 1. My notes list what you have there as the latest version.

AP9225 - MSPlus - AP9606 or AP9617

AP9606

AOS: aos254.bin

APP: msp200.bin

AP9617

apc_hw02_aos_264.bin

apc_hw02_msp_262.bin

Thanks Angela, so if I run this file "apc_hw02_aos264_msp262.exe" will that also update the firmware on both 9225's or just the 9617?

Hi again - it would just apply it to the IP address of the AP9617 in the main unit. I don't think these support the capability to update each other. I don't know too much about that expansion unit really - does it have its own network interface or just a connection to the main unit?

Angela, there is no network interface on the 9225EXP, so I assume this would need to be done via xmodem.  For the 9225 firmware...how do you update it?
