AP7841 Vertical PDU mountin question

I have an HP rack and recently purchased the AP7841 for a power infrastructure upgrade. I'm trying to figure out a way to mount these in the back of the rack vertically, but the instructions seem to indicate that it needs to be mounted to the back square hole rail that runs vertically in the rack. When I do this with the provided bracket, the PDU "sticks out" into the past the edge of that vertical rail thereby getting in the way of any rack rails or cable management arms which need horizontal clearance between the 2 rear vertical rails in the rack. Am I missing something?

If you're not using behind the PDU for cable management, what happens if you eliminate the bracket and mount the PDU directly onto the vertical rail.

I actually had some brackets custom made that worked extremely well. They are very similar to the brackets that come with the APC units except that they are longer and, as a result, you are able to use a screwdriver behind the PDU it's self to access the screws, etc from the post.

I can give you information on getting some of these made but it'll probably be cost prohibitive unless you're looking at a few hundred racks.
