One of my ACRD100 A/C units has started to alarm on: Liquid refrigerant sensor fault exists. I have read that this alarm isn't present on the ACRD100 du to being direct expansion and not water/glycol cooled. And this unit has been operational for several months without the alarm going off. How can I disable it?
Thanks

Hello Ross. I am sorry I am not sure which tech data manual you have but here is the section from the manual on our website at the bottom of the email. The senor is on both the ACRD100 and the ACRD200. If you would like to stop getting emails on this you can put in a delay for that alarm so it will only send the emails after a certain amount of time has passed. This can be done on the webpage under the admin tab, then "notification" then on the left under "by event" click on the "Faults" link. Under warning events select InRow RD 10KW: Liquid refrigerant sensor fault exists. Click on the email link that you have set up and change the delay to 5 minutes. This will prevent the emails until that delay has been reached.
ACRD100 series and ACRD200 series only
• Condensate pan full • Upper fan power supply fault • Lower fan power supply fault • Suction temperature sensor failure • Persistent low suction pressure fault • Factory configuration not completed • Liquid refrigerant sensor failure

Hello Ross. The ACRD100 does have a liquid line refrigerant temp sensor in it. It is the sensor with the yellow zip tie (connects to the yellow rj45 jack on the motherboard.). You can try and clear the alarm from the front screen (clear active alarms) and see if it comes back. If it does, you can swap the sensor with another sensor to see if it is the sensor. If this does not fix the alarm, please call into your local tech support to check further steps with one of our technical support techs.
Thank you

Unfortunately, this unit is at a rural site that is roughly an hour away, and we don't have anybody on site to do this. Also, the alarm clears itself after 10 seconds to 2 minutes, then alarms again after several minutes, then clears itself. And if the ACRD100 has this sensor, why does the InRow RD Technical Data Manual say that "ag. Liquid refrigerant sensor failure (ACRD200 series only)"? I was hoping that it didn't exist, and the alarm could be disabled by a hidden configuration screen.
