What does this mean and how do I resolve it. This is a brand new Smart-UPS X 3000

The battery soft start fault occurs when the UPS fails to initiate its battery sub-system. This fault can be cleared by removing the load and doing the brain dead and cold start procedures on the UPS.

The Cold start procedure is used to determine if a UPS is functional or if it will not turn on when plugged into utility power.
The Brain Dead procedure performs a hard reset of the Smart-Ups microprocessor. It does not however reset saved preferences.
