9711 pdu wrong firmware?

i think the previous owner may have flashed this PDU with bad firmware. 
I just bought it. 

Only ports 1-8 have power. 
When I login via COM I only have 8 ports to choose from.

the mac address is just zero's. 

I see there's a file transfer option on it. 
How do I know what firmware to upload to the device? 
I downloaded a random firmware file I found in the forums. 
it came with 3 files.

Do I need to know anything extra about my 7911 in order to know which to upload?
