You can configure power connections between rack PDUs and floor equipment (PDU, UPS, ATS and Switchgear) using the power connection wizard.
To access the wizard:
Go to a rack and open rack view. Select a rack PDU. Click the power connection icon to see details about an existing power connection for the rPDU you selected.
If there is no power connection configured, click Connect.
Select the room where the device that supplies the power is located. You can choose either the current room or another room in the same location. Click Start.
Select the room. The first view is the current room. Click Next.
Select the device supplying the power. You can search or you can select the device in the floor visual. Click Next.
In the connection properties for the device, define the breaker panel, mode, position, and phase, and a name if desired. You can see power measurements for the device if they are available. This will help you make the right decisions about capacity for the power connections.
Click Confirm.
To disconnect a rack PDU from the device that supplies the power, select the rack PDU, click the power connections icon, and click Disconnect.
Note: The color coding for the power paths is configured in the desktop client. It is visible in the web client in the floor and rack editors, and in the floor view when the Power overlay is selected.
