Search in
Improve your search experience:
Exact phrase→Use quotes " "(e.g., "error 404")
Wildcard→Use * for partial words(e.g., build*, *tion)
AND / OR→Combine keywords(e.g., login AND error, login OR sign‑in)
Keep it short→Use 2–3 relevant words, not full sentences
Filters→Narrow results by section(Knowledge Base, Users, Products)

Tags can be created and assigned to equipment in the floor or rack layout to categorize types of equipment.For example, if you have tagged a server before adding it to the layout, the system can better guide you where to place it and any other future servers of this kind when using the Add Equipment to Best rack functionality in the Installation Requirements pane.
Note: Tags must be created in Tools>Configure Tags before they become available in the application and can be assigned to equipment in the floor and rack layout. The configuration includes an option to make matching tags a strict requirement when adding a server to a rack.

Assigning tags Tags can be assigned to equipment in the floor or rack layout to categorize types of equipment and plan the best place for new equipment automatically calculated based on the type of equipment.
Right-click on a piece of equipment e.g. a server and select Properties.
In the Properties dialog box, select the Tags section.
Select Add or Remove to assign a tag or annul an assignment.
Repeat previous step(s) until all required tags have been assigned. When used in the Rack Layout with the Rack Equipment placement pane to find the best place for equipment, tags help you place e.g. servers used by Financial together to optimize use of the remaining power.
