Spacelynk Firmware 2.5.0 issue

Hello everyone

when I upgrade spacelynk firmware from version 2.4.0 to 2.5.0 its CPU/IO value increases even though I am not using it. 

also, I didn't add any script so its not a script issue. 

I notice this rise when I use the new Touch 3, but even when I remove it the issue still exist  

did anyone use the new firmware and face this problem?

Have you used a beta version of 2.5.0?

I'ts a know issue when you have tested the beta as it had a bug in the Touch 3 daemon and it should not rise when you never have runned the beta, there is a solution but need more info..

I downloaded  the 2.5.0 firmware from here https://www.se.com/ww/en/product/LSS100200/spacelynk-logic-controller/

But it not mentioned that this is a beta version

No, this is the official, we did some limited BETA testing and that was not distributed by the website..

Do you know how to open the Apps FTP folder?

Hello,

We have upgraded several controllers to the 2.5.0 and we do not see any issues similar to what you are describing.

Anyway, we have one small bug in the release 2.5.0 (not really connected to the issue you experiencing) and we release fix version 2.5.1. It is available on the Yammer group or Schneider official web site. Please upgrade FW to the latest one and check if there is any change in CPU load or not.

Please send us a project back-up if possible to check if there is any scripting that causing these issues after the upgrade.

I had the same, removing Touch is the solution, but i runned the beta so that makes sense...

I remove the touch app and stop all scripts 

I will monitor the CPU for a while and check if the problem solved

the CPU still loaded it reaches more than 0.7 with no use

the only thing changed after upgrade to V2.5.0 was adding new scenes with virtual trigger object, I don't know if this has any effects

I just had an issue with the 2.5.1 firmware upgrade for spacelynk. I previously had the 2.4 firmware in a 3.1 spacelynk HW, I did the upgrade to 2.5.1 and the spacelynk got, sort of stuck, with its top green led blinking at a one each like two senconds rate, but the bottom led doesnt even blink, I already tried a factory reset and a powercycle but the device has the same led blinking pattern.

any of you have had any similar experience, if so, how did you solve the problem??

Right now I have a client waiting for its system.

I hope you can give an idea on how to fix this problem.

Looks like there went something wrong during the upgrade, i have done a lot (uncountable) upgrades and that never went wrong, did you interrupt the power somehow?

There was a version a FW version that took quite a while before it became accessible due to trend recalculation to a new format, but this is only when having a lot of trends and i think it was older FW then 2.4 to 2.5..not sure so need to look that up,  if you have a lot of trends then please give it time (can be more then a hour) to recalculate them.

If you don’t have trends and keep stuck then you might need to reflash the SD card. All data is lost when doing that so you need to have a recent backup.

I had several issue in the past on some Spacelynk/homelynk. If trying to jump from older FW to newest and have bug after upgrading. The solution was to inject update step by step. For example: 2.5.0 then 2.5.1 then 2.5.2

I didnt interrupt the process but after more than an hour the device it is still stuck, today I will go to the jobsite again, if it is still stuck I will apply the procedure that share with me.

I did the procedure mentioned, but right now the spacelynk doesn't even have a bliking LED.

(i have attached a video of the LED status after the upgrade)

Any suggestions? besides applying the guaranty,

What did you transfered to the SD card? The sL_HW2_xx_3_xx_recovery.img.gz file?

You need to extract rec2.img (947 Mb) from sL_HW2_xx_3_xx_recovery.img.gz (with 7zip or similiar tool) and then use USB Image Tool to restore rec2.img to the SD card, insert the SD card to the controller, boot it up, open the browser to 192.168.0.10 and you should get a popup reqeusting to select the FW you want to load, then select the latest FW spaceLYnk-2.7.0_hw2.xx_hw3.xx.img, reboot again and all should be as new out of the box on 192.168.0.10

now it is on, I mean the led n°1 is blinking, at like 1 beat per second, how long should it take to left the spaclynk operative?? so far it has been 20 minutes in this state...

Can you try clearing browser cache or incognito? You should get a popup requesting to select your FW
