Hello IC-Systems!

I am not sure to get your question in the right way (but here is a question why I couldn't control each ECG in the group?)
There are two ways to control DALI-ECGs in principal.

1. Single ECG Control
As this small words are already explaining, using this method you can control each single ECG seperately and you get the dedicated GA's to do so.

2. Group Control
This method saves time in case you have several lights control in one shot (e.g. general light in a big open office) with many ECGs.
The idea behind is to put them together in one "Group" to make the comissioning and control easy.

If you want to combine both ways you need to select the single ECG Approach and you make the "grouping" by the help of dedicated GA's.

Kind regards
Thomas

Hello IC-Systems,

can you please explain a bit more in detail the steps you did to better understand your case.
Can you please share the FW-Version of the DALI-GW?
Maybe it would be helpfull to get the ETS-Project also.

Kind regards
Thomas

Hello @Thomas_Rohde

I added the DALI GW from the ETS Library, then I connected the GA's

In the site I used the DCA to deal with the DALI Bus, test the DALI ECG's, and download the configurations.

then when I start to program Keypads, TS I noticed that some Group objects were disappeared.

some of these DALI GWs which has this issue was in error but some DALI GW with no error has the same issue.

regarding FW I will send it ASA I have it from the site.

I will send you the ETS File VIA PM its built in ETS5

Best Regards,

oops its related to grouping.

each ECG Linked to a group its individual group objects will disappeared.

but in the MTN6725-0001 GW when you connect ECG to a group a warning pop up tells you that this modification may unlink group addresses!.

but in the Spacelogic GW there is no pop up warning

but here is a question why I couldn't control each ECG in the group?

Best Regards,

Hello @Thomas_Rohde

But I think this principle is not related to the DALI Protocol, I mean DALI Protocol allow control individual ECGs in a Group.

but on/off feedback and value feedback issues will rise up here.

Am I right?

BR,

Best Regards,

Hello IC-Systems!

To be honest ... I am not deeply familar with the DALI-Protocol.
I can just support you on our approach of our DALI-Gateways.

As I understood that you would like to combine both ways of single and group ECG-Control
I think the best way is to go for the single ECG-Control and realize the Group-Function
with the help of dedicated Group-Addresses on the KNX-Side.

Kind regards
Thomas
