Parameters Weather station MTN6904-0001
Hey guys,
Im fairly new to automized sun control/shading. I'll start off just throwing a bunch of questions at you 😁
Is there any "standard" threshold lux values or value. What do you typically use? I've had someone say 17000 lux and anotherone 35000 lux. Thats quite a big difference.
If the weather station is only going to control the shades/blinds for the facade its mounted on, is it better to use only front sensor? Not maximum of all three?
20% hysteresis for lux threshold?
Do you use different threshold values throughout the year? In the northern countries, a lower lux value in winter for example.

Hello Bergman! Puuh! A lot of questions 😉
Let me start with the easy one "...is it better to use only front sensor? Not maximum of all three?" Depending on where your facade is placed compared to the sunwalk I would propose to work with all three ones.
Regarding the threshold ... I guess there is no standard value as this is a pretty individual setting. Means, this can depend on the persons and their job or the use of the building in general. Also it depends on your location itself. Just to give an example ... In Germany you have only a few days a clear blue sky in summer. So, we have many days with clouds (change of sun and clouds). Means we must play with a bigger threshold to not drive the shades permanently up/down and let the persons go crazy. While in Dubai you may have permanently sun and no clouds. So you can use a smaller threshold.
I would recommend to follow the brightness for some hours and check it also with people in the dedicated building. You can set also a trendlog to measure the values maybe during a week.
With that you get a better feeling about the values in general to judge yourself the correct threshold.
