MTN630819 Sensor for Dimming

Hello KNX Community,

I've got a question regarding the MTN630819 sensor for a dimming application that uses DALI lights, can I use the MTN630819 for this kind of application where I have to dim the DALI lights base on the brightness and the presence in a room??? or should I use MTN630919 for this application since it has the light control???

have you ever had the experience of using this MTN630819? did you use it with Dimeable lights or just on/off lights?

Looking forward to your answers,

Regards,

HSU

Hi Horacio1,

To "So to keep a certain level of behavior the best choices is the MTN630919. right?"
Yes correct.
To keep a certain light level in the room, in case of motion is detected, you need to use MTN6309xx.

Kind regards
Thomas

Hi!

the brightness dependance light control of the MTN630819 offers you the opportunity to set a brightness threshold and, consequently, switch or dimm a light when the brightness is below that defined level.
On the other hand, If your target is to constantly mantein a specif brightness level within a room, you need to use the MTN630919

In both sensors, the brightness control could be in combination with a presence detection

Right now I dont have an MTN630819 in my lab.

Hi Thomas,

thanks for your answer.

Can in the value 0-100% (second comment from the top) use presence as well??

The way you describe the behavior seem digital, like just on/off to a certain level of brightness, but can´t keep a level of brightness in the room with this sensor, am I right???

and on the other hand the MTN630919 seems to have a more analogic behavior.

So to keep a certain level of behavior the best choices is the MTN630919. right?

MTN630919 Is a really amazing detector able to do this constant regulation and more, more, more... It's  really recommended.

At this time, new detectors MTN6303-XXXX also have native constant regulation working so well, more much better than use a MTN6308xx that native doesn't have this option.
