Homekit reset

I am having a major problem with the HomeKit plug-in as I cannot reset it. therefore HomeKit tells me that I cannot connect as the bridge is connected to another house. I have tried to switch off the plugin, restart spacelynk and switch back on the HomeKit plugin. unfortunately the same code for pairing remains which HomeKit will not accept. any ideas?

Did you copied a project backup for another project and this "new project" you want to link with a new bridge while keeping the other connection with the former bridge?

Dear Thomas,

I‘ll explain a bit better:

Preset: 

I have SpaceLynk up a running. As I am an Apple guy the application to use the SpaceLynk in combination with HomeKit is a feature I was really looking for.

I set up everything, connected the SpaceLynk as bridge into a home, home base is an Apple TV. Everything was working nicely an as expected. Until it froze. Normally nothing serious, you restart the Apple TV the bridge and everything works again.

But this time something went wrong, better I could not get the system to work again.

so I disconnected the SpaceLynk as bridge from the Apple TV. I restarted the Apple TV. But I cannot set up the SpaceLynk as bridge anymore. It says: It’s connected with another home.

I had this problem before in a different environment, and the only thing which normally works is to reset this bridge.

 

And this is what I am trying to achieve. 
what did I try so far: I even de-installed the HomeKit application to start from scratch. But after restarting SpaceLynk and installing the Homkit application, all the settings und devices where back (so no reset) and therefore no connection the the Homebase possible. Same error: “already connected to another home”

Hi Thomas,

Thank you so much for staying on the topic.

I used the install “trashcan” to get rid of the HomeKit installation.

After reinstalling everything was back, which already made me worry, and I still could not connect.

I could give it I try, I was guessing that the trashcan you mentioned only erases single entries…

dear Thomas,

using the trashcan you mentioned, it produces a new pairing number for Homekit. By the end of the week, I can try if it works now, I guess it will. I will report. Fingers Crossed

Dear Thomas, dear all,

 

receiving a new pairing number by using the trashcan icon is the solution! Thank you Thomas for the help, I have to admit the misleading trashcan icon made me think I would trash the setup, instead of resetting it. And therefore I did not even try. 
everything back up and running!
