What are the main differences between HomeLynk and SpaceLynk?

The first difference between homeLnk and spaceLYnk is the number of BACnet points that the controlleur managers as BACnet server; homeLYnk is limited by firmware to 150 points and spaceLYnk is recommended to 500 points even if this is not limited by firmware.
Real limitation is depending from what the controller is doing and how it is used (if only used as gateway without any logic or anything else to process, will be more).
Current indication is given in User Manual and related to CPU load not to achieve.
We are currenly doing tests to make recomandations
THere are some projects like one I'm aware of where 3000 points need to be managed and there they put 5 spaceLYnk.

Hi Sabrina,
The only difference today is that homeLYnk is limited to 150 BACnet points and spaceLYnk is not.
And as their names suggest, homeLYnk is more for residential buildings and spaceLYnk is for commercial, althougt there is no force to hold the integrators to use it within the specific building segment.

homeLYnk is dedicated to residential and will stay there in terms of new features to come in the fimware.
spaceLYnk is dedicated to commercial and here we are focusing first on architectures leveraging all the different offers from Partners (eg:smartlink, Canalis iBusway, Smart Panel,..) and features will also be focused in this segment like for instance connectivity with SBO through BACnet or SLL

Hi,
What is the real limitation of SpaceLYnk regarding the BACnet objects? I understand that there is no limitation in theory, but this is a strong sentence to talk to a client, any kind of test was made and ensure, like 5k objects for instance?
thanks for the help
