Hello
I face issue when try to download ETS application "via network" into IP Router (device doesn't respond in appropriate time).
while when connecting direct on it I could!
How could I solve this issue?
IP router used is the old one MTN680329, its an old project but we made some modification from time to time so i use VPN instead of reach the device physically in the site, your help is appreciated.

The old IP router per default has only one tunneling port activated. The other 4 ports need to be activated by special procedure:
Assignment of additional individual addresses
With version 0C and higher (see the back of the device),
a total of up to 5 simultaneous connections is supported.
The KNX/IP router supports the simultaneous access of
up to 5 devices. For each connection you need to assign
one additional physical address.
The first physical address is assigned in the ETS. The
KNX/IP router can assign the additional individual addresses
itself directly. To achieve this, push the programming
button at the device for more than one
second.
Afterwards the assignment of the additional individual
addresses is done in ascending order.
Example:
• Connection 1: 15.15.250 (set in the ETS)
• Connection 2: 15.15.251 (assigned automatically)
• Connection 3: 15.15.252 (assigned automatically)
• Connection 4: 15.15.253 (assigned automatically)
• Connection 5: 15.15.254 (assigned automatically)
The programming LED at the device flashes during the
assingment.

Hello
Could be a matter of settings in the IP router.
Repeats and ACK should be deactivated especially for the physically addressed telegrams which are relevant for the application download. And these settings have to be done for the routing from mainline to subline and from subline to mainline.

Tanks @Heribert_Dölger
I tried to change the parameter but it didn't work, the strange thing is that some IP router accept application download via network!
Another thing I notice one of the IP router cannot accept connection because its maximum amount of concurrent connection is already used. how to see these connection and is it possible to remove it? (Note that I am using the old IP router)

Hello dears,
Regarding this topic.
in the same project I have VPN Connection, While I can download applications on any device, but I cannot download the IP Router Applications (Update filter table).
This is a very noisy issue since the location is far away.
appreciate your help.

I assume your Interface is the IP Router itself, correct?
Maybe it sounds silly, but have you correctly set the Individual Address of the ETS Interface (not the IP Router individual address)?

It is not possible to download the IP router when using the same device (IP router) as an interface.

Thank you @Cristiano_Carli_Ballola and @Heribert_Dölger
I have 7 IP routers.
I use one as interface and download to others, does it work in this way?

Hi to all - I have an issue with two KNX IP routers (type - MTN680329). I created new VLANs, so I want to change IP addresses on IP KNX routers, two routers with induvidual addresses (1.1.0 ; 1.2.0) are ok, but with other two I cannot download (Prg, Par, Grp).
Can someone help how to resolve this issue?

Hello again,
I was able to do a "full download" action for the KNX router with one address 1.3.0 when I changed the local interface to 1.1.0, but now there is a problem with the router with address 1.4.0. I have tried many interface addresses but no luck. Can anyone help me with some feedback on how to know which local interface address to use?

The local interface address must be in the same range of the individual address of your IP router.
That means, if the IA of your IP Router is 1.4.0, the local interface address must be 1.4.x (1-255) depending from which address are not yet assigned to any other device

Thanks for the feedback. In the mean time I managed to set up 3 of the 4 IP routers, one more that I need to setup is with individual address 1.4.0 - for example I tried the local interface address 1.4.1 (it's a free address) but no luck - I always get "Download(All) Failed" so I can't set a static IP address on the IP router. It's strange to me that everything was OK for the other three IP routers.

If the address 1.4.1 belongs to the IP router 1.4.0 the download will not work. You cannot load a device with its own interface.
