is it the only modem supported ?

It was the one which was tested. If there other modems working in the same way ... I dont know and I even have no feedback about others.

You have of course more options when your device is connected to the internet. But I guess you dont have .. or?

Yes, this is correct. Unfortunately this consumer stuff is phased out quickly.
