Hi, I,m a newbie intern currently working in fmcg plant. Here we got a problem in one of our induction motor which instantly stopped working, since motor is not much older our engr. first check mcc circuit and relays but everything was ok. we replaced the motor at the spot, now i wana know how i can check motor completely, means its winding, connection box etc. I also found a blog about motor testing(1) but still i,m confused with this motor box design, i.e star delta connections.

Hello @salm11 ,
Basically you need to check the connections for the motor. I would be surprised if the motor terminal box embeds the contactors for star-delta start, this shall be a bit upstream the circuit. Before to test the motor completely it is worth to look around and try to identify what might be the reasons it stopped.
By the way , how exactly happened that it stopped?
Best regards,
