The input pin for forward direction LI1 isn't working
Is it possible to program LI5 for forward direction instead of LI1

On ATV71, LI1 is always set to forward.
Other functions can be set to this LI1 acccording to the feature available "multi assignment".
May be you can check first that the LI1 is really activated. Have a look inside the I/O Map. As shown on linked picture
Check that the drive is on "rdy" before you switch on LI1, check that PWR is activated (power removal), this is a safety input avoiding motor to start in case this is not activated. For information, on new drive now, it is named Safe Torque Off (STO)

LI1 is forward or run permissive.
Check in the IO Map if LI1 is high or low. If low and does not respond, confirm for 24VDC between 24V and COM. If there is still no response, recommend to replace the control board.
If LI1 is stuck in high, you may be able to change to 3 wire control where LI1 is permissive and LI2 is run forward.
