I have an ATV320...C frequency convertor of Schneider. I want to connect a braking resistor. I have to use PB an P0.
The question is whether the bridge between P0 and PA / + must remain in order to switch on the brake resistor?
I suppose so. There is no direct information about this bridge in the manuals.
There is a notch at the position of the terminal P0 that you can break off to connect the wire in P0. I wonder its function?
Don't touch the notch and so connect to PA / + I suppose? Or is this wrong.

The ATV320 has 2 model types.
On the ATV320...B drives, the braking resistor should connect between terminals PB and PBe.
On the ATV320...C drives, the braking resistor should connect between terminals PB and PO.
Also, verify that parameter brA (Deceleration Ramp Adaptation) is set to NO. Factory default for brA parameter is Yes. The drive will not use the braking resistor if brA is set to Yes. The brA parameter can be found at the following menu location: COnF - FULL - FUn - rPt - brA - UPSers

The ATV320 has 2 model sorts.
On the ATV320...B drives, the slowing down resistor ought to associate between terminals PB and PBe.
On the ATV320...C drives, the slowing down resistor ought to associate between terminals PB and PO.
Likewise, check that boundary brA (Deceleration Ramp Adaptation) is set to NO. Manufacturing plant default for brA boundary is Yes. The drive won't utilize the slowing down resistor on the off chance that brA is set to Yes. The brA boundary can be found at the accompanying menu area: COnF - FULL - FUn - rPt - brA-MyLowes

Most drives incorporate the Dynamic Braking semiconductor so the outside slowing down resistor will be wired between the PA and PB terminals.
There will either be a jumper or a DC stifle associated among PA and PO. It is essential to ensure this isn't taken out on the grounds that the drive won't work without it.
For the ATV12 and for high strength drives (ATV61, ATV71) an inside semiconductor is excluded and would need to be added to the drive as an outside module.
For the ATV320 series, there are two sorts of drives. The Bookcase (Part number finishes with B) and the Compact (Part number closures with C). For the B form, interface the resistor between terminals PBe and PB. For the C rendition, associate the resistor among PO and PB.
The ATV600 group of drives can't be associated with a slowing down resistor. Furthermore, there is no PB terminal.

As a complement about ATV600 remark above. Let me explain why the ATV600 does not have possibility to use a braking resistor : just because the targeted applications for this family is "Process" mainly on pumping applications and also some on fans.
For Fans, sometime, it could be necessary to use an external braking resistor, when a stopping time is required and specified. In this situation, it is advised to use ATV900 with the possibility to connect an external braking transistor.
Hope this will help...

Yes, the jumper between PO and PA/+. Only remove the jumper when installing an external DC choke.
