Can you elaborate on what you need?
Normally you don’t connect Workstation to SmartConnector but instead you create either a EWS interface to a server in the framework or the processor of your extension or a REST endpoint is connected through EWS to one or more EBO server(s) in your system.

The EBO workstation is connected into an automated server ( AS-P ) , the objective here is to extract data from this AS-P server into my 3rd party app via an API

Well, this sounds like you need a REST endpoint to EBO...
You could do this by the following steps:
1) Make sure you have enabled the EWS server of the server you want to connect with, this could be an ES or AS-P via -> /System/EcoStruxure Web Services/EWS Server Configuration
2) Create a user with permissions to the datapoints you want to approach from the REST endpoint.
3) Create in the SmartConnector Framework an Endpoint that points to your EWS server above -> http://127.0.0.1/EcoStruxure/DataExchange
4) You should now be able to test your endpoint from the swagger environment that is created together with the endpoint.
