And still, I have questions for what I want after I read through the EWS RESTful gateway manual. I still can't find where to link this RESTful gateway to SBO. The default server here: 127.0.0.1:8083 is not SBO, right? So should I use 127.0.0.1:88, which is my SBO server, or how I link to my SBO EWS server?

Hi Andrew,
The EWS RESTful gateway manual covers the below, but see the below screenshot of a configuration we have here set up here. The 'Http configuration' section is where you enter the SBO EWS Configuration data. (Make sure you create a SOAP EWS Rest Provider and not a Mongoose EWS Rest Provider).
You do NOT need to enter a username and password on this configuration page, as you will authenticate when you make the REST requests to the endpoints.

If you are interested in learning how to create a Client to communicate with the endpoint see this thread: Generate client in Visual Studio for SmartConnector RESTful Endpoints
Also, there is a sample project (Ews.RestExtensions.Client) with this Client already implemented with extra features that you can use at: GitHub - BuildingsLabs/SmartConnectorSamples: Sample projects for SmartConnector
