TRV not closing the radiator valve properly
A couple of the Wiser TRVs I have aren't closing the radiator valves properly, allowing heat into the radiator when it should be turned off. The rooms are getting really hot because of it.
I've tried resetting them multiple times, swapping the batteries, and checking that the plunger is moving inside the TRV.
When I reset it, screw it back onto the radiator valve and then hold the cap to minus, it calibrates and seems to work. It closes the value, which you can tell by the sound from the radiator. There's clearly no water getting in through the valve (which is correct, since the target temperature is significantly lower than the room temperature. Then about 20 seconds after calibrating, the TRV opens itself up a little bit; just enough for water to start getting into the radiator again (and you can clearly hear that it's happening).
If the TRV didn't back itself off a fraction after calibrating, it'd probably be working. But changing the target temperature or turning the cap manually towards minus has no effect.
I had this issue before and it seemed to stop. Now it's started again. Maybe a firmware update? The TRVs are on version 0.60.4, but since only Wiser can access the hub's logs, I don't know if that's the case, or any other info really.
