On the radiator TRVs you can turn to either boost by 2C for 1(?) hour, or reduce by 2C for 1 hour.
In the app, the boost buttons only appear to boost, but you have the option of doing so for 30 mins, 1hr, 2hrs or 3hrs.
Apart from manually adjusting the room temp on the slider, is there any way within the app to reduce a room as you do by manually turning a TRV? And can you adjust the set temperature increment or reduction from 2C to something else?
Thanks,
Sam

Hi Luisa, thanks for your reply. I agree with setting a minimum comfort level and can understand that boost up is more useful overall. However as you point out there are situations where additional heat may have caused the room to be warmer than intended. In this situation there is sometimes a bit of a lag with the Wiser system to recognise that the room is already a degree or so above set temperature. Sometimes, even, I've found that the room is continuing to heat beyond the set temp, without any external factors e.g. sunshine.
I do accept that this is unlikely to be a popular request, but out of interest if it has been deemed necessary to put 'boost down' on the device itself, why would the same option not be on the app?

Hi SamJ,
currently “boost down “ is only available on the device itself not on the app. Typically a user conscious of savings would schedule a minimum comfort level. In case he feels ill or tired, he might boost for a while. A boost down is unlikely to be needed because in case external heat is brought to the home (sunshine, fireplace,…) the radiator thermostat closes automatically. Therefore we implanted it only on the iTRV. The offset is +2 °C per default, but on the app it is possible to adjust that value by simply changing it on the room level.
Regards
Luisa

I use "Boost Down" on a regular (daily?) basis! - though I have to use my own interface, not the app.
I live in a three-storey house and the bedrooms on the top floor are used as 'hobby rooms'. When we're up there, the ground floor doesn't need to be at its usual temperature, so I turn everything down for 'a while'. Since there are five rooms (in Wiser-terms), it was pain-in-the-neck having to do it manually!
(The app. and some of its concepts need work - especially for larger installations).
